➡Like David

Psalms 27:2-4 NKJV

"When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will  be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord , That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord , And to inquire in His temple."

Its amazing to me how David was able to praise God ALL THE TIME! I mean through out psalms a series of events were occurring, and when we read, more bad then good... Yet in every situation He remembers the Lord and the good He has shown him before! David had a strong loving heart for God. He knew God's heart in such a special way that it makes me somewhat jealous!
David was devoted to God. He was never lazy to praise Him, to pray to Him... Which obviously is the key! And l looking at David, makes me put my jealousy aside, and instead has me trying to strive for the same longing and devotion!

Friendship With The World🌏

"Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." James 4:4 (NKJV)

This is such a powerful verse! Any good relationship we have with the world causes us to be enemies with God. So trying to blend in counts as that? Wow... What about fashion? Or the way we speak, the way we act... It should all be different then the world; so distinctly apart from them, or else we may become enemies or God.

How does fitting in make us enemies? Well the world is fighting against Our Abba. Our job is to be different then them that anyone passing by could automatically tell which side we are on. Even a little compromise is betrayal. May God give me strength to always be apart, for this is so hard, and strength is MUCH needed! Amen.
